A famous entrepreneur, speaker and author, Jim Rohn once said “Your network is your net worth.”
Those are real words. The people you surround yourself (online and offline) with can totally change your life for better or for worst.
Being a veteran networker, I wish someone took me by hand a showed me the ropes of networking and building a network when I was in my 20s. This might be the most important skill in your possession.
Today, Miss Immigrant USA organization is here to open the door to immigrants and all who join the organization in their networking and confidence-building skills.
During the Deals on Wheels Networking event for private equity, venture capital, attorneys, PCAs, attorneys and real estate investors – contestants from Miss Immigrant USA had a chance to practice their public appearance by participating in a short confidence walk, and later on to interact with the guests. For most of them, this was the first time and they were very scared. However, after the event, we found out that they were all happy and ready for the next lessons as they found a humungous value in this activity.
Deals on Wheels Networking event was organized by Boris Mosheyev, CEO of Borex Capital, and Magdalena Kulisz, Miss Immigrant USA Director and CEO of Orange River Media. It took place in Alexia Greek Restaurant in the Wall Street area, downtown Manhattan.
During the event, Christopher Warren, the managing partner of the Warren Law Group gave a presentation about securities, followed by Fernando Koatz, from Gleason & Koatz. and Avraam Borukhov, from AB Elit Capital.
It was truly a beautiful event where the professionals from all walks of life had a chance to network to enhance their professional connections but as well they could give back by engaging with the Miss Immigrant Contestants for whom this was way out of their comfort zone.
We appreciate and are very thankful to all who were so kind and supportive.
They say public speaking and public appearances are the most feared by people. Here we have an example of 10 super brave immigrant women who embarked on a journey of empowering themselves and others, walking in a confidence walk for the first time in their lives (except one of them). A big kudos to them and if you would like to join on a similar adventure, apply for Miss Immigrant USA here.
When I first met Rick Davy, the founder of Fashion Week Brooklyn I had no idea that our future hold so many great things for us.
We met at this spring Fashion Week Show organized by Rick and Fashion Week Brooklyn and we connected instantly. Event though going to his show I had different intentions, I was open to the divine energy of receiving as we don’t know what’s written for us.
My advice for you is to be open minded and follow your heart. Be honest and real with people and everything else what’s meant for you will follow.
People will recognize your value and your network of like minded professionals will grow.
Put your heart into building your network and you will build a greenhouse that will keep feeding you fruits your entire life.
