Sha Kenan
Co-Founder/Owner of Miss Immigrant USA
Sha, short for Shahar—which means “Dawn” in Hebrew—embodies the promise of new beginnings. Raised in Israel within a family deeply rooted in Jewish education, Sha was profoundly influenced by his mother’s encouragement and his father’s example as a leader in an elite military unit. From a young age, his mother nurtured his curiosity and passion for learning, which helped him excel academically and athletically. This supportive environment laid the groundwork for Sha’s future successes.
After completing his service in the military unit, Sha transitioned into the world of business, where he quickly made a mark by founding a successful real estate company. His ventures not only included large-scale projects involving hundreds of residential units and commercial properties but also extended into innovative business sectors. In 2006, he moved to New York City, where he launched a No-Fault medical billing collection/litigation company, a marketing firm, AmphiBag, and the Miss Immigrant USA Organization, further showcasing his commitment to supporting immigrant communities.
Today, Sha continues to push the boundaries of entrepreneurship and community advocacy, working on projects that include consulting for medical providers, introducing No Fault Law internationally, and fostering business relationships across the Middle East. His journey from the nurturing environment of his childhood to becoming a leader in business and community service is a testament to the power of a solid foundation and the courage to pursue new opportunities.
Education:
Sha’s educational background is a profound blend of rigorous academic training and deep-rooted cultural expertise. From a young age, he excelled in a traditional Jewish educational setting, becoming an expert in Torah, Kabbalah, and Hebrew Law. His passion for these subjects propelled him into higher education, where he pursued degrees in Law and international affairs and political science. Continuing his educational journey, in Tel Teaviv University, Sha specialized in Buseniss Law at law school.
This unique combination of cultural wisdom and legal acumen enables Sha to navigate complex legal and business landscapes with a perspective that is both globally informed and deeply anchored in his heritage.
As a law student in Israel during 2002-2003, I was recognized with a certificate of excellence from the Ministry of Public Security for developing and leading a voluntary initiative. This initiative was aimed at assisting individuals who were either transitioning out of prison or preparing for their release, with their legal challenges. I established a legal department within the Ministry of Public Security’s headquarters dedicated to supporting these individuals and their families, particularly in addressing issues related to finances, housing, and government debts—including traffic fines. My strategy involved writing to banks and government bodies to negotiate debt cancellations and secure pardons from the President. This impactful work led to my promotion to a committee role in the Parliament.
Before attending law school, I was actively involved in politics in Israel. I managed a campaign for a political party aiming for seats in the Parliament, focusing on city-level initiatives and strategies. This role provided me with invaluable experience in political strategy and public engagement, setting a strong foundation for my subsequent legal studies and advocacy work.
In addition to my political and legal endeavors, I completed two significant theses during my academic career. The first thesis demonstrated how international companies can utilize specific strategies to reduce their tax liabilities to as low as 0.1%. The second thesis, which I co-authored with Omri Sharon—then a member of the Israeli Parliament and son of the Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon—explored the origins of the Supreme Court’s authority within the judicial system. Additionally, I completed a thesis in political science. These academic achievements highlight my deep engagement with both legal and political analysis.
